Description:Prelude formed in 1970 in Gateshead and released several singles and albums on Pye and it's subsidiary label Dawn. In 1974 they had a #21 UK / #22 USA hit with their version of Neil Young's 'After The Goldrush'. They charted several more times in the early 80s. Their 1972 Decca release 'Edge Of The Sea' will appear on Bob Stanley's forthcoming "English Weather" compilation on Ace. "The Belle Vue Sessions" is the band's first album since 1984. The original line-up of Brian and Irene Hume and Ian Vardy is augmented by a full band., Labelcode PRDU5063203.2
