Aleksandr N. - 19/01/2021 Perfectly!A great album by one of the most interesting Dutch bands in recent times.I sincerely recommend it!
| | Alexander S. - 14/10/2019 Outside the window is autumn, still pleasing with the last sunny days. But suddenly, from somewhere, the chilled grave dampness came from the forgotten graveyard ... You might think that it was just that the weather changed dramatically. But no, this is from the columns you can hear the fresh creation of the Dutch death metal veterans Asphyx. The atmosphere fueled by Incoming Death has little to do with the K. Barnes and J. Fisher meat processing plant and their many followers - here we have an old cemetery on the outskirts of the city with rickety crosses and dilapidated crypts, the inhabitants of which from time to time remind of living alive. Asphyx manages, this is the third album in a row using a rather meager arsenal of means and even in such a mummified style as an old-school death metal, to give out a killer to the mountain, I am not afraid of this word, material. It would seem, what’s wrong with that? There are practically no guitar solos, and those that are an example of complexity and technicality cannot be called. Drums also do not create a blastbitan stockade. Martin van Drunen's vocals are in place. All this was already on "Death ... The Brutal Way" and on "Deathhammer", faster things like the Candiru opener alternate with slow crushing numbers like "The Grand Denial" and the final "Death: The Only Immortal". No changes, even differences in sound are relatively small. But this does not upset. On the contrary, I want to listen time after time, immersed in the hopeless atmosphere of the aforementioned graveyard, which Death will take you on an excursion, telling about local heroes and attractions in the voice of Asphyx vocalist.
