 | Description: | Vinyl LP pressing. 2016 release, the 13th album from the rock/jam band led by Trey Anastasio. Big Boat was produced by Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, KISS), making this the producer's second collaboration with Phish following 2014's Fuego - and recorded between Nashville, New York, and their home state of Vermont. Big Boat takes it's title from the Jon Fishman-penned "Friends" and the line "We're on a big boat, like the ones our forefathers sailed." Phish is a band known for musical improvisation, extended jams, blending of genres, and a dedicated fan base. Originating at the University of Vermont in 1983 (with the current line-up solidifying in 1985), the band's four members-Trey Anastasio (guitars, lead vocals), Mike Gordon (bass, vocals), Jon Fishman (drums, percussion, vacuum, vocals), and Page McConnell (keyboards, vocals)-performed together for nearly 20 years before going on hiatus in August 2004. They reunited in March 2009 for a series of three consecutive concerts played in the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, and have since resumed performing regularly., Arranged By, Orchestrated By: Trey Anastasio, Band [Phish]: Jonathan Fishman, Band [Phish]: Mike Gordon, Band [Phish]: Page McConnell, Band [Phish]: Trey Anastasio, Cover [Design], Art Direction: Julia Mordaunt, Engineer [Additional]: Justin Francis (3), Engineer [Additional]: Tyler Hartman, Engineer [Engineered By]: Ben Collette, Engineer [Engineered By]: Justin Cortelyou, Layout: Ryan Corey, Management: Coran Capshaw, Management: Jason Colton, Management: Patrick Jordan, Management [Production]: Beth Montuori Rowles, Management [Production]: Kim Markovchick, Management [Production]: Richard Glasgow, Mastered By: Bob Ludwig, Mixed By: Bob Ezrin, Mixed By: Justin Cortelyou, Mixed By [Additional Mixing]: Ben Collette, Mixed By [Additional Mixing]: Elliot Scheiner, Musician [Additional], Alto Saxophone: Tyler Summers, Musician [Additional], Baritone Saxophone: Jim Horn, Musician [Additional], Cello: Gabriel Cabezas, Musician [Additional], Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flute, Alto Flute: Chris Bullock (2), Musician [Additional], Keyboards [Additional]: Jeff Tanski, Musician [Additional], Percussion: Andres Patrick Forero, Musician [Additional], Tenor Saxophone: Denis Solee, Musician [Additional], Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone: James Casey, Musician [Additional], Trombone: Natalie Cressman, Musician [Additional], Trombone: Roy Agee, Musician [Additional], Trumpet: Jennifer Hartswick, Musician [Additional], Trumpet: Scott Dujac, Musician [Additional], Trumpet: Steve Herrman, Musician [Additional], Violin, Viola: Rob Moose, Producer [Produced By]: Bob Ezrin, Written-By: Jonathan Fishman, Arranged By [Horns]: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Page McConnell, Written-By: Tom Marshall (2), Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Arranged By [Horns]: Leon Pendarvis, Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Page McConnell, Written-By: Mike Gordon, Written-By: Scott Murawski, Written-By: Tom Marshall (2), Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Arranged By [Horns]: Andres Patrick Forero, Arranged By [Horns]: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Tom Marshall (2), Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Page McConnell, Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Written-By: Trey Anastasio, Labelcode(s) JEMP1088, Manufactured By ATO Records, Distributed By ATO Records, Phonographic Copyright (p) Phish, Copyright (c) Phish, Recorded At The Barn, Burlington, VT, Recorded At Black River Studios, Recorded At Anarchy Studios, Recorded At Avatar Studios, Recorded At Slaight Music, Recorded At Megaplum, Recorded At The Bunker, Vermont, Recorded At Rubber Jungle, Recorded At Starstruck Studios, Mixed At Anarchy Studios, Mastered At Gateway Mastering | | Product Safety
