Dark, mysterious and breathtaking. Although their new work is not hard as this album, still I love their perspective to the music. Never disappointed!

Beautiful, mysterious, very mysterious album. Of course, one of the best progressive death metal albums in history. A job that you want to listen to and understand constantly. A very pathetic piece filled with beautiful melodies, wonderful lyrics and emotional vocals.
The professionalism of the musicians who have done everything perfectly and harmoniously is clearly visible. So many feelings, diligence and the soul itself are invested in each song, that, perhaps, not in every finished work of other groups you will find all this in such an equivalent.
Opeth is essentially a brilliant group, striking in its originality. People included in its composition cannot be called musicians, because they are mostly artists who do not paint pictures, depicting life on them, and they only paint their sensations.
Their best album Orchid became the same creation and in order to understand the beauty of this work, one must not listen to it, but present it. Unfortunately, not everyone can do this, but only people who, being in their warm bed, can wake up at night in the October forest under the crying moon ...

Opeth's debut already had the mix of death metal's weight with the soft and somewhat eerie melodies from 70s prog rock.
