Yuriy P. - 02.02.2022 By the early 80s, Queen were one of the most popular rock bands in the world, and so it was decided to finally release the first official collection of their best songs. The well-known record company EMI did this, since it was on this label that all Queen discs were released, with the exception of those released in the 90s. No tedious work on the selection of the best compositions was done - those compositions that occupied high places in the charts were simply taken. In this regard, the situation turned out that the strongest first album was completely ignored, and from the equally wonderful second one there is only "Seven Seas of Rhye". All other discs, from "Sheer Heart Attack" in 1974 to "The Game" in 1980, are represented by 2-4 tracks. There is even a song called "Flash" from the movie "Flash Gordon" in 1980. Unfortunately, for a completely unclear reason, all this is not in chronological order, although some songs from the same album are together. However, let's not pay attention to this, because we have a really great set of hits in front of us: "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "We Will Rock You", and, of course, the magnificent "Bohemian Rhapsody". If you want to explore the versatility of this wonderful band and enjoy the inflections of the voice of one of the best rock singers, well, this release is for you. At the very least, you will have an incentive to buy the rest of the work, because Queen is not only hits that took places in some charts. Well, fans who already have all the albums have nothing to look out for here - there is not a single new composition on this disc that is less than an hour long. In any case, no one forces us to spend money to hear just a couple of new songs, and often not the most successful ones.
