It was the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil that launched the ascent of native sons Sepultura (Portuguese for 'grave') in 1983 with a trajectory aimed unsuspectingly at the worldwide metal music scene. A band with humble economic beginnings whose musical identity was forged in the context of living through Brazil's authoritarian military dictatorship, Sepultura would go on to become Brazilian ambassadors to the metal world. Now featuring long-time guitarist Andreas Kisser (who joined in 1987), original bassist Paulo Jr. , Ohio-born vocalist Derrick Green and drum prodigy Eloy Casagrande, Sepultura continue to release skull-crushing albums and pack venues and festival stages worldwide. The band's 14th studio album, 'Machine Messiah', produced by Jens Borgen (Opeth, Amon Amarth) was inspired by the robotisation of our society.
"Machine Messiah" is a powerful CD+DVD release from the legendary Brazilian metal band Sepultura, produced by Nuclear Blast. This album marks a significant chapter in Sepultura's storied career, showcasing their signature blend of thrash, groove, and progressive metal elements. The CD features intense tracks that explore themes of technology and humanity, while the accompanying DVD offers exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and live performances that capture the band's raw energy on stage. Formed in 1984, Sepultura has become one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history with classic albums like "Chaos A.D." and "Roots," earning global acclaim for their innovation and relentless sound. Nuclear Blast stands as one of the leading labels in rock and metal music worldwide, known for supporting groundbreaking artists and delivering high-quality releases to fans everywhere.

The fourteenth studio album by Brazilian metal band Sepultura, released on January 13, 2017. Machine Messiah received positive reviews, with many critics calling it one of Sepultura's best albums. I recommend.

Michael B. - 12/Nov/2020 4 of 5 Stars!
Interesting album - sounds fresh and new - I found a lot of progressive elements, some orchestrations and even synths. Good record quality, even with that amount of new elements everything sound good and clear.
