| | Description: | El twist fue el gran ritmo que siguió- aunque no sustituyó- al rock and roll. Era otra forma de bailar y otra manera de acentuar el compás, aunque intrínsecamente era la misma música. Chubby Checker lo puso de moda y todo el mundo vivió una fiebre con el nuevo baile. Las grandes figuras de la música en español no quedaron inmunes. Raphael o Miguel Ríos cantaron en ritmo de twist. También lo hicieron el Dúo Dinámico o los Cinco Latinos. Este doble CD nos permite calibrar el impacto que significó el twist. Los jóvenes rockeros lo adaptaron, peor también las figuras consagradas en géneros anteriores. Pedro Iturralde, una incipiente Ana Belén, Palito Ortega, los Pekenikes, Billy Cafaro? Todo el mundo bailaba twist y todos los cantantes, incluso figuras de los cincuenta como Lolita Garrido o las Hermanas Serrano, hicieron alguna incursión en el nuevo ritmo.
