Description:Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remixed - by Steven Wilson - and remastered edition of this album from the classic British band led by Ian Anderson. Jethro Tull's second album, Stand Up, marked an early turning point for the band with the addition of guitarist Martin Barre along with Ian Anderson s introduction of folk-rock influences to the group's blues-based sound. Released in the summer of 1969, Stand Up rose quickly to the top of the U.K. Albums Chart, and eventually earned gold certification in the U.S. Before recordings for the album began, the band's original guitarist Mick Abrahams resigned because of musical differences with Ian Anderson; Abrahams wanted to stay with the blues rock sound of their 1968 debut, This Was, while Anderson wished to add other musical influences such as folk rock. Mick was replaced by guitarist Martin Barre, who appeared on every Jethro Tull album from this point on. Stand Up represents the first album project on which Anderson was in full control of the music and lyrics., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Artwork: Phil Smee, Artwork [Idea]: Terry Ellis, Bass Guitar: Glenn Cornick, Composed By: Ian Anderson, Cover [Based On Ideas From]: John Williams (30), Cover [Based On Ideas From]: Terry Ellis, Cover [Printed From Woodcuts By]: James Grashow, Drums, Percussion [All Manner Of Percussion]: Clive Bunker, Electric Guitar: Martin Barre, Engineer: Andy Johns, Flute, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Organ [Hammond Organ], Piano, Mandolin, Balalaika, Mouth Organ, Vocals [Sang]: Ian Anderson, Mixed By [Stereo Remix By]: Steven Wilson, Photography By: Brian Ward (5), Photography By: Graham Page (2), Photography By: Jan Persson (4), Producer [Produced By]: Ian Anderson, Producer [Produced By]: Terry Ellis, Research [Audio Research And Assistance]: Don Needham, Research, Coordinator [Project Co-ordination]: Tim Chacksfield, Sleeve Notes, Research [Additional Research]: Martin Webb, Written-By, Composed By: Ian Anderson, Flute: Martin Barre, Arranged By: Ian Anderson, Composed By: Johann Sebastian Bach, Arranged By [Strings], Conductor [Strings]: David Palmer (2), Flute: Martin Barre, Labelcode RPLH559418.1 (0190295932855), Record Company Vinyl Collector, Record Company Warner Music Group, Produced For Chrysalis Productions, Phonographic Copyright (p) Parlophone Records Ltd., Copyright (c) Parlophone Records Ltd., Published By Chrysalis Music, Published By BMG Chrysalis, Licensed From The Ian Anderson Group Of Companies, Recorded At Morgan Studios, Recorded At Olympic Studios, Designed At Waldo's Design & Dream Emporium, Pressed By Optimal Media GmbH
