Two CD collection. Richard Maltby's popularity and indeed reputation have been somewhat overshadowed by his son, Richard Maltby Jr. Who was the director and lyricist of Tony award-winning Broadway revues, Ain't Misbehavin' and Fosse as well as one of the lyricists on Miss Saigon. This set from Jasmine however focuses on his bandleader father, Richard Maltby Senior. Herein are the albums, Make Mine Maltby which includes "St. Louis Blues Mambo" which was his first charting single in 1954 and Hue-Fi Moods, Maltby With Strings. Along with the LP releases Jasmine have also included both sides of six singles for a total of 12 bonus tracks, making this set one of the most comprehensive Richard Maltby sets released to date.
