Nick Höppner is a renowned German DJ, producer, and former Panorama Bar resident whose influence extends far beyond Berlin. As one of the key figures at Ostgut Ton since its inception, he has shaped the label?s identity through his own productions as well as A&R work. Known for his eclectic sets and refined musical taste, Höppner has performed worldwide at leading clubs and festivals.
Ostgut Ton is one of the most respected labels in contemporary electronic music. Founded in 2005 as an offshoot of Berghain/Panorama Bar in Berlin, it has become synonymous with innovative techno and house releases from some of the genre's most influential artists.
This is a fantastic electronica album. It has a stronger dance vibe than the typical IDM I tend to buy. It is probably more in line with house music. Hoppner has monthly residencies at the Berghain/Panoramabar in Berlin. I also have his Folk album. This one is probably my first preference. The tracks are strong throughout, but if you like this, look to get both of his albums and support the Ostgut Ton label.
