 | Description: | To The Bone by Steven Wilson, released 17 August 2017, includes the following tracks: "Pariah", "Refuge", "Blank Tapes", "Song Of I" and more.
This version of To The Bone comes as a 1xCD. - 2017 release from the British singer, songwriter, and musician. To The Bone is his expansive, brilliant fifth solo album. It is the follow up to 2015's Hand. Cannot. Erase. (one of Rolling Stone's best albums of 2015). A gloriously dynamic modernist pop record as imagined by the UK s biggest underground artist, To The Bone is Steven Wilson's hat-tip to the hugely ambitious progressive pop records of his youth (think Peter Gabriel's So, Talk Talk's Colour of Spring, Tears for Fears Seeds of Love). Steven Wilson's career has come a long way since his days as a member of No Man (with Tim Bowness) three decades ago. Apart from his own music (solo, Porcupine Tree, etc.), he has become one of the top album remixers in the industry."To The Bone" is the critically acclaimed fifth solo album by British musician Steven Wilson, released in CD format by Caroline International. This record showcases Wilson?s signature blend of progressive rock, pop sensibilities, and thoughtful lyricism. Inspired by classic pop albums from the 1980s, "To The Bone" explores themes of truth and reality in a modern world filled with misinformation. Standout tracks like "Pariah," "Permanating," and "Nowhere Now" highlight his versatility as both a songwriter and producer. Steven Wilson has built an impressive career as the founder of Porcupine Tree and through collaborations with artists such as Opeth and King Crimson members; he is widely regarded for pushing musical boundaries while maintaining emotional depth in his work.
Caroline International, part of Universal Music Group, is renowned for supporting innovative artists across genres worldwide. Their commitment to artistic freedom makes them a trusted partner for musicians seeking creative control over their projects. | | No. of tracks: |

INWOO S. - 26/Jan/2021 Although it is quite different from typical or old Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson style, this album is still fascinating and creative as well.
| | Alexander S. - 12/Feb/2020 Naturally, there is a certain, rather high established level of quality, below which Stephen is not able to jump - for now, at least. Unquestioningly, Ninet Tayeb is a great vocalist and embodied femininity, and I am glad, infinitely glad to hear her voice in most new compositions. Well, "Refuge" and "Detonation" are undoubted replenishment in the treasury of the best works of the Englishman, who managed to fit in himself, it seems, all the genre diversity that he had ever involved in the portfolio. But, alas, the impression is that at least under the sign with his name, Wilson has already expressed to us all the most intimate and interesting; and then what happens on his disks will become more and more secondary and boring, does not leave me.
