 | Description: | 2017 release from the Denver metal band. For fans of Venom, Midnight, early Slayer, Escape From New York and The Road Warrior. Weapönizer has existed since 2009, unleashing several releases including a debut full length in 2012. This year everything comes together on their wild and unbound second album Lawless Age, their first in collaboration with 20 Buck Spin. While one can recognize a variety of metallic sub-genre tags in the band's sound, from raw black metal to post-apocalyptic thrash to Aussie war-metal to anarchic crossover, it's all menacingly welded menacingly into an indestructible shining alloy of slashing American steel. A faster disaster with an unrelenting pace, the tasteful-yet crazed guitar solos combined with the band's commitment to songcraft make this album a celebratory and definitive vindication of underground metal's continued relevance Arriving at the opportune moment, it envisions a near future technocratic dystopia that seems all too possible. | | No. of tracks: |
