Alexander S. - 14.10.2019 The latter, at the moment, is a full-length format of the legends of the German heavy Accept under the title “The Rise Of Chaos” in musical evolution does not have a distinctive perception from the previous longplay. But who said that some new trend is characteristic of legends? Everything is very expected here, this is the most pleasant. After all, a classic is what it exists to be familiar with and to revive a beautiful memory of what was and is.
On the musical side, “The Rise Of Chaos” is impeccable. Wolf Hoffmann is a real wizard who forges smooth steel so smoothly, but in the frame of the marvelous vocals of Mark Tornillo it takes on a brilliant cut. And despite the rather cool attitude of the mythical old school community regarding the fact that the Germans without Udo are no longer able to produce worthwhile material, Acceptance is the fourth album in a row, starting with “Blood Of The Nations”, prove the opposite.
The music of the titans became more pulsating, which once was lacking in albums of the late 90s. In the melodic component, a significant proportion of classical metal moves prevail, but at the same time, all this organically fits into modern mastering. As a result, we get, perhaps, one of the highest-quality metal products of recent times, and this is actually so, not all giants even in modern permissiveness and opening borders are able to record such high-quality works.
I also note that I have never been a big fan of using backing against the background of leading vocals, so the hymns, which some metal legends quite often flirt with, did not find any manifestation in my heart. What can not be said about Accept, in this case the secondary use of backing vocals only complements the scale of the sound. Well, through it breaks the hammer of Mark Tornillo, who, in my humble opinion, is one of the most outstanding vocalists of recent years. Not to say that the range is over the top, but its vital component is so energetically crowded and fits it into the structure of the group - the Germans really found their second life, completely different, going in parallel with the past.
The “The Rise Of Chaos” album proves once again that the true metal of the old school is able to live in the present time, thereby continuing along the path of eternity, which he once became a part of when no one suspected that it would be one of the beautiful phenomena for the world, appearing in it ...
