Julie Andrews is an English treasure, world famous singer and actress. She Rose to stardom in the late fifties, appearing in Unforgettable musicals such as "My Fair Lady", "Mary Poppins" and of course appeared in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "The Sound Of Music" in 1965 which propelled her to stardom in every corner of the globe. Andrews debut film appearance in 1964 on the musical Mary Poppins was one Disney's most successful films. Recently a film called 'Saving Mr. Banks' was released which has illuminated the backstory of the making and writing of 'Mary Poppins'. The film stars world renowned actor Tom Hanks and has been a huge hit in the world of film. Andrews has won an Academy Award, a BAFTA, five Golden Globes, three Grammys, two Emmys, the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award, the Kennedy Center Honors Award, and the Disney Legend Award. She is an author of children's books and has published her autobiography, Home: A Memoir of My Early Years (2008).
