OLEG L. - 2024年 03月 06日 The first and the best Running Wild album. Excellent edition, remastered deluxe digipak extended version with 8 bonus tracks and with 16 page booklet with additional photos and materials. Bonus tracks include the first two rare tracks : Iron Heads & Bones To Ashes from the legendary NOISE records LP compilation Death Metal where Running Wild together with Halloween became the foundation for the power metal style. I’m very glad that I bought this CD for nice price.

| | TOMAS T. - 2017年 12月 22日 Top notch remasters! This collection from Running Wild is just thumbs up for any fan of the band! The repackaging received a very detailed finishing with excellent materials. Sound wise, they got a very appropriate treatment, and besides that, added extra tracks (in some of the re-releases, a bonus disc). A delight to any Running Wild fan!
| | Balazs D. - 2017年 09月 02日 So the time has come! The re-vitalized Noise records has released the first 9 RW records remastered with bonus tracks. I've grabbed the first four from grooves land and I'm ready to write my opinions about them.
Even though I still consider myself a RW fan, their first record did not impress me that much, I did not even have it, although I was aware of their first output. To correct this error, I've bought it and I'm happy
I did that. GTP is as legendary as Walls of Jericho by Helloween, Walpurgis night by Stormwitch, Heavy metal breakdown by Grave Digger, or even as Kill'em all, not a weak song on this gem here.
Yes, the the band's songwriting skills have improved after GTP, and yes, these songs are usually naive, but they have their charm, and let's not forget, this is a first record, and what a record indeed. It was recorded in only 16 days, on a minimal budget, without a producer, and has a nice punk feeling, the band sounds really raw, if you know Iron Maiden's first record you may have a glimpse of what I mean.
About the musicians: Preacher left after this record because he studied theology, but it's not a great problem, because his style was a bit outdated even on this record, he's more of a traditional, bluesy player not hte metal guy. Hasche is great, plays like the late Clive Burr, Stephan does what a bassist should do. About Rolf: well, he needs no introduction. He sings on his raspy voice here and plays some fine solos and riffs.
About the remaster: some might complain about it being 'hyper compressed" and "volume maximized", well that may be true, but at least the sound has improved compared to the originals.
The bonus tracks: no hidden gem, if you're a RW fan, you already have them, but it's nice to have their remastered version. Walpurgis night is the First years of piracy re-recorded version not the original as the cover says however.
TLDR: buy it.
