He referred to his music as "folk swing". He was the leader of the group Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks. It Happened One Bite was originally released on Warner Bros. Records and hit the Billboard music charts in 1978. This special CD release is known as the Widescreen Edition and features a whopping 22 tracks!
