Description:Fleurety was formed in Ytre Enebakk, Norway in 1991, and are known for their experimental & boundary-breaking approach to black metal. The band have released two albums to date, plus a string of EPs, and have primarily existed as a duo featuring Alexander Nordgaren (formerly live guitarist for Norwegian legends, Mayhem) & Svein Egil â??Zweizzâ? Hatlevik (Umoral, Strid, ex-Dødheimsgard). The White Death is Fleuretyâ??s third full-length studio release; marking almost two decades since 2000â??s â??Department of Apocalyptic Affairsâ??, and shows the band returning to the style of the legendary 1995 debut â??Min Tid Skal Kommeâ??; however, this time more experimental, sarcastic and concise. As a result, â??The White Deathâ?? captures a darker and more disturbing version of Fleurety than ever before, embracing the strange and the abstract to create a wholly unconventional yet often poignant opus, both deep and raw in its expression. This new mid-price CD edition of 'The White Death' is presented in digipack packaging complete with a 12-page booklet. -
"The White Death" is a CD release by the Norwegian avant-garde metal band Fleurety, brought to you by Peaceville Records. This album marks a significant return for Fleurety after years of silence, showcasing their unique blend of experimental black metal with progressive and psychedelic elements. The record features intricate compositions, haunting melodies, and an unpredictable approach that challenges genre boundaries while retaining a dark atmospheric core. Fleurety, formed in 1991, are pioneers in Norway?s experimental metal scene; their earlier works like "Min Tid Skal Komme" have been highly influential within underground circles for pushing the limits of black metal into new artistic territories. Peaceville Records is renowned for its commitment to innovative extreme music and has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of doom, death, and black metal since the late 1980s.
