An erratic genius is arguably the best and concise way to describe the phenomenon called Wally Tax. He has left us lots of beauty: the raw rock of The Outsiders, with songs that are cherished by countless European and American garage bands, and the pretty, somewhat disregarded songs he wrote later on. The singer, who passed away after a turbulent life in the spring of 2005 at the age of 57, is one of the most remarkable personalities the Dutch music scene has ever known. Fifty years after the first album The Outsiders, this set arrives containing all the original albums, extended with two CDs filled with bonus material. Seven tracks have never been officially released before. All albums are packaged as replicas of the original LP sleeves. Next to many special photographs, the booklet has liner notes by the hand of the renowned Dutch music journalist Robert Haagsma.
