1988, extreme speeds, mega-extreme thrash metal, striving to go beyond the genre in terms of the degree of this very "extremity" - this is not a complete description of the debut album by Sadus, the starting team of the multi-tasker DiGiorgio. In addition to everything else, Sadus are also thrash jewelers, who have honed the instrumental parts to razor sharpness, this is a fat, three-dimensional sound - a quality that not only many of their outrageous colleagues, but also quite respectable thrash majors - the "golden boys" of thrash metal, have never dreamed of. Everything here has the prefix "extra-". Even the music of the Americans is not just fast, but frantically fast, choking on the next paragraph of the text and swallowing the words of the chorus. Illusions is still a long way from the relaxed and technical bass parts of the third album, and the other instruments behind the bass guitar have not yet caught up, but the album does not produce a feeling of straightforward "slaughter" similar to the classics of Slayer. Speed, speed, speed, frequent rhythm changes, shrill squeals at the limit of the vocal cords and wheezing - Sadus will not have a cocktail with such a degree of strength. With such a mind-blowing presentation of the material, the ear does not have time to catch on any sane melodies (this does not mean that they are not there). The rhythm section in leisurely parts reminds of death metal, but this feeling lasts literally two or three seconds: Sadus up until 1992 is 100% slovenly, dissatisfied with everything trash, which is oh so far from the calmness and power of death metal. After a long awaiting finally Sadus albums reissued!I would expect a better and more rich booklet with rare photos or maybe an extra track or a demo version.Nevertheless here we have to deal with some fast and incredible extreme thrash sound!Sadus attack!!!
