Auf Carter Burwell kann man sich immer verlassen, wenn es um qualitativ hochwertige Soundtracks handelt. Three Billboards outside E.,M. war eigentlich mein Anwärter für den diesjährigen Oscar. "Leider" ging der an "Shape of Water" - aber immerhin wurden Hauptdarstellerin und Nebenrolle mit einem Oscar belohnt. Der atmosphärische Soundtrack ist vor allem durch angenehm relaxte, leicht Country beeinflusste Musik geprägt. Der Folksong "Buckskin Stallion Blues" ist in zwei grandiosen Versionen enthalten und Renee Flemming (bekannt auch durch ihre Beiträge für Herr der Ringe) singt, begleitet vom English Chamber Orchestra das wunderschöne Traditonal "Last Rose of Summer". Sehr empfehlenswerter Soundtrack.
