With a title inspired by Woody Allenâ??s â??Midnight in Parisâ?? (the opening scenes of which were filmed on the church steps), â??Midnight at St Etienne du Montâ?? explores the music of DuruflÃ©, who was Titular Organist there from 1929 until his death in 1986. As well as DurufulÃ©â??s own Suite Op. 5, at the centre of the programme is the premiere recording of David Briggsâ?? Le Tombeau de DuruflÃ© â?? a brilliant work built on plainsong themes that DuruflÃ© so loved himself.
