Intuition, a captivating album of short pieces for solo cello with piano or orchestra, has been conceived by Gautier CapuÃ§on to â??reflect the story of my life and follow the various stages in my emotional developmentâ?. As Gautier CapuÃ§on says: â??In music, in life, communication is the essence of everything and of anything â?¦ You share something.â? This is the personal story he is sharing through the music he has chosen for Intuition. It brings together much-loved numbers by composers such as Saint-SaÃ«ns, FaurÃ©, Massenet, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Elgar with newer music by the King of Tango, Astor Piazzolla, the Italian cellist Giovanni Sollima (b.1962) and the pianist who partners Gautier CapuÃ§on on five of the albumâ??s 15 tracks, JÃ©rÃ´me Ducros. The other tracks on Intuition are accompanied by the Orchestre de chambre de Paris under its music director, Douglas Boyd.
