The debut album of the Swedish doom metal band Candlemass. It was released 10 June 1986. Epicus Doomicus Metallicus' differs from other European metal bands who were known for "playing at breakneck speeds and screaming in a high-pitched frenzy". Candlemass' album features slower riffs and vocals delivered in a "baritone, operatic style".

This is a masterpiece of doom metal! Anyone who enjoy this genre must at least to hear this monumental album. Epic Doom Metal, as the the title itself says. This reissue comes with obi and a simple booklet with lyrics.
