 | Description: | The upcoming album "44 / 876" is a collaboration between British icon STING and Reggae/Dancehall star SHAGGY. An island inspired collection of songs recorded in Jamaica and New York, it marks Sting's return to his early love of reggae which shaped his Police and solo career. For "44/876" Sting returned to GoldenEye in Jamaica, the location where he wrote his massive hits "Every Breath You Take," "King of Pain," and "Wrapped Around Your Finger" and was brought together with Shaggy via Martin Kierszenbaum. The two worked on "Don't Make Me Wait" together as a lark. The chemistry worked and now we have an album of island-inspired, reggae pop music, perfect for a fun and relaxing summer time, not to mention perfect for synch opportunities with travel, tourism and holiday related companies, outdoor sports activity, foods, and beverages. - FT. SHAGGYLimited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. 2018 release, a collaboration between former Police frontman and solo superstar Sting and Jamaican singer/songwriter Shaggy. The island-influenced album reflects their mutual love of Jamaica - it's music, the spirit of it's people and vibrancy of it's culture. Sting and Shaggy wrote and jammed together for a few weeks in New York City, creating music that seamlessly blends Caribbean rhythms-in traditional and modern styles-with pop craftsmanship and rock energy. In the United Kingdom, 44/876 debuted at number nine on the UK Albums Chart. It is Sting's first Top 10 album since Sacred Love (2003), and Shaggy's first since Hot Shot (2001).? © 2018 A&M Records.
