US death metal veterans Skinless return with their pulverizing sixth studio offering, aptly titled Savagery. Recorded by Tom Case at Doomsday Bunker Studio in New York and by Dave Otero (Primitive Man, Cattle Decapitation, Cephalic Carnage) at Flatline Audio in Colorado, Savagery embodies ten slabs of rotting, aural remains across 37 minutes of titanic slams, untouchable grooves, mauling riffs and blood-thirsty, bestial growls. It sees Skinless at the top of their game, more than 25 years into an untouchable reign of terror. Features stunningly sick cover art by renowned tattoo artist Jesse Levitt. For fans of Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Broken Hope, Devourment, Gatecreeper, Aborted and Obituary.
Track 10 is a cover song, originally written by the band Crowbar.

On this album I do not like either the sound or the demonstration of the material. "Savagery" here does not reach its climax. Adult men threaten their Death Metal, but there is something slipping in each track, which in the amount of ten pieces merges into one inexpressive set of changes in rhythms, tempos, sizes, techniques. It seems you listen and understand that this is Death Metal, but with careful listening it’s quite superficial and stupid, there’s nothing to cling to ...
