There is uncertainty about the participation of William White Jr. in the June 1940 session. Tracks 1 to 10 are from an "America Dances" short-wave trans-Atlantic radio broadcast from CBS to BBC, which was recorded on June 10 and aired on June 12, 1940. The show was recorded at CBS studios in New York, with acetates sent to BBC for later rebroadcast. Tracks 11 and 12 were recorded at NBC studios, Sunset Blvd. & Vine St., Los Angeles, CA for the NBC broadcast "Kraft Music Hall" on Thursday, January 16, 1941. Information in the CD booklet is incorrect for these tracks. Track 13 was recorded at NBC studios, Sunset Blvd. & Vine St., Los Angeles, CA for the NBC broadcast "Kraft Music Hall" on Thursday, May 29, 1941. Information in the CD booklet is incorrect for this track. Track 14 was recorded at NBC studios, Sunset Blvd. & Vine St., Los Angeles, CA for the NBC broadcast "Kraft Music Hall" on Thursday, October 9, 1941. Information in the CD booklet is incorrect for this track. This was Jimmy Blanton's last recorded performance. Tracks 15 to 22 are from an MBS broadcast from Casa Maņana, 8781 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA on Sunday, February 16, 1941. "NOTE: Skips midway on "Blue Serge" were on the original source and could not be avoided. Sorry!"
