"ARCTIC MONKEYS" on sticker on shrinkwrap and on spine."Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino" is the sixth studio album by British rock band Arctic Monkeys, released in 2018 on CD format by Domino Records. This ambitious record marks a bold departure from the band's earlier guitar-driven sound, embracing lush lounge-pop arrangements and cinematic storytelling that evoke retro-futuristic vibes. The lyrics explore themes of technology, isolation, and modern society through enigmatic narratives set in a fictional lunar hotel. With standout tracks like "Four Out of Five," "Star Treatment," and "Batphone," the album showcases frontman Alex Turner's distinctive vocals and poetic lyricism. Arctic Monkeys have achieved global acclaim since their debut in 2006 with hits such as "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" and award-winning albums like "AM." Domino Records, an independent label founded in London in 1993, has been instrumental in promoting innovative artists across genres; its roster includes acclaimed acts such as Franz Ferdinand and Hot Chip. | | No. of tracks: |
