This recording presents music that is the result of Ernie Krivda's odyssey through the changing times of the world of jazz. It presents a narrative of a musicians growth and evolution in the music that seemingly follows it's history on a parallel track, but intersects with it at a certain time and place that creates the dynamic from which flows this music. This is Krivda's 33 release as a leader in a 50 plus year career and speaks to his musical direction of a Jazz Band that was born out of the music's relationship to the Jazz Education industry yet retained it's musical independence and identity. It speaks to a shared vision of how the music might be taught, shared, learned and presented.
