Description:

Since their formation in 2010, Phoenix, Az's Lago have consistently proven to be one of death metal's most interesting acts. Equal parts of the old-school, death metal masters Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Deicide collide with a more modern Behemoth or Origin and an over-arching original ear for songwriting to create a sound that Lago call their own; the subtle interplay between melody, atonality, and out-and-out brutality, brilliantly realized. Recorded at Arcane Digital Recordings by Ryan Butler and mixed/mastered at Sound Sanctuary by Ken Sorceron, Lago's highly anticipated Unique Leader debut, Sea of Duress sees the group further refining their blackened, menacing brand of old school influenced death metal while showcasing once again an original and truly singular style.
