Description:Saxon, over the decades have gone from being pioneers of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, to becoming one of the most successful UK Rock acts of all time. On 13th October 1986 Saxon released their eighth studio album â??Rock The Nationsâ??. Recorded at Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum in the Netherlands by Gary Lyons. Biff Byford, who had incidentally begun his career as a singer/bassist, recorded all the bass parts on the album, however Paul Johnson is credited on the album as he joined before the album was released. 'Rock The Nations' also features the unlikely guest of Elton John on piano on the tracks â??Northern Ladyâ?? and â??Party Til You Pukeâ??. This version features radio edits of the singles from the album, some live B-Sides and three songs recorded by the BBC from Saxonâ??s set at 1986â??s, Reading Festival. - .. NATIONS / RED, WHITE & BLUE TRI-COLOUR VINYL
Limited red, white and blue tri-colored vinyl LP pressing. Since the 1970s Saxon has consistently showcased an ability to take rock 'n' roll and give it an electrifying edge, cementing their status as pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal along the way. Recorded at Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum in the Netherlands by Gary Lyons, 1986's Rock The Nations served as Saxon's eight full-length effort overall and found the band revisiting their raw NWOBHM roots. It's most notable for it's unlikely guest appearance by none other than Elton John on piano on the tracks "Northern Lady" and "Party Til You Puke."
Limited Edition Tri-Colour Vinyl Includes printed inner-sleeve with lyrics and photos. Hype stickered. Runouts are laser etched.

Azmi H. - 04/Oct/2022 5 of 5 Stars!
This album is a return to form in the vein of Wheels Of Steel/Strong Arm/Denim And Leather. Nearly every song has a killer riff and you can tell the energy and fire is there.

Ivica S. - 30/Jan/2021 5 of 5 Stars!
Saxon fans should not be disappointed - It is nice to see them at their elder age but still hungry and passionate for their music. Highly recommended
