Eine Filmcrew folgte dem Bandtross durch die USA, Asien und Europa bis nach Südamerika und zeichnete den Touralltag ebenso auf wie die Konzerte und die Interaktion der Band mit ihren Fans. Die Dokumentation erschien ursprünglich als VHS- Video und auf Bildplatte und wurde zudem in den USA in die Kinos gebracht. Für das Livealbum schnitt die Band fünf Konzerte in Paris (29. Februar 1984), Los Angeles (24. und 25. April 1984), San Diego (26. April 1984), Costa Mesa (28. April 1984) und Köln (17. November 1984) mit. Die Aufnahmen fangen die elektrisierende Intensität ihrer Shows ein und vermitteln einen klaren Eindruck von der Leichtigkeit, mit der sie ihr Publikum in unterschiedlichsten Teilen der Welt mitreiÃ?en können. Den Kern des Liveprogrammes bilden die besten Stücke von den vorangegangenen vier Studioalben, die aber in der Liveversion noch einmal deutlich an Schärfe, Eindringlichkeit und Kraft gewinnen. WORLD WIDE LIVE erscheint nun als 180g Gatefold 2LP, gepresst auf transparentem, orangenem Vinyl. Good live album which covers their 80's hits very well. Love the live version of "Coast to Coast" and "The Zoo". I really like live albums and this one is well done.
