 | Description: | Portland Memorial Coliseum Portland Or 5/19/74 RECORDINGSPortland Memorial Coliseum Portland Or 5/19/74 GRATEFUL DEAD 6 LPsLimited six 180gm vinyl LP set. During The Grateful Dead's legendary 30-year run, the band often visited it's northern neighbors in Portland, Seattle, and less-than-often Vancouver. This set, taken from the Pacific Northwest '73-'74: The Complete Recordings CD box set, features their show recorded at the Portland Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon on 5/19/74. During the period when this show was recorded, The Grateful Dead included: Jerry Garcia, Donna Jean Godchaux, Keith Godchaux, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir. This show was recorded just a few weeks before the band released it's seventh studio album, From The Mars Hotel. The band once again took the opportunity to preview songs from it's upcoming album. Limited six vinyl LP pressing. Live archive release. The Pacific Northwest offers up a rich feast of land, sky, and water. It is ripe with influences, abundant with symbols, deep and spirited. It should, therefore, come as no surprise that The Grateful Dead played some of their most inspired shows on these fertile grounds. Dip your toe in the transformative waters with Pacific Northwest '73-'74: Believe It If You Need It, a compilation that highlights performances from the complete boxed set. The Grateful Dead was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. They have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide. | | No. of tracks: |
