 | Description: | 2018 release from the rock icon. Paul McCartney invites you on a musical journey to Egypt Station. Sharing a title with one of Paul's own paintings, Egypt Station is the first full album of all-new McCartney music since 2013's international chart-topping album New. Egypt Station was recorded between Los Angeles, London and Sussex, and produced (with the exception of one Ryan Tedder track) by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters). Of the album's enigmatic title, Paul says, "I liked the words 'Egypt Station.' It reminded me of the 'album' albums we used to make.., Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So, it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from." True to the inspiration behind it's title, Egypt Station's songs combine to convey a unique travelogue vibe. Between the opening and closing instrumentals "Station I" and "Station II," each song finds Paul capturing a place or moment before transporting the listener seamlessly to the next destination. Stops along the way include an acoustic meditation on present day contentedness ("Happy With You"), a timeless anthem that would fit on virtually any album of any McCartney era ("People Want Peace"), and an epic multi-movement closer clocking in at seven minutes with a song suite structure harkening back to the days of Paul's previous combos ("Despite Repeated Warnings"). The result is a kaleidoscopic journey through myriad musical locales and eras, yet firmly rooted in the here and now-with Paul's singular unmistakable melodic and lyrical sensibility serving as a guide. 16 tracks., Runningtime: 00:00:00, A&R: Nancy Jeffries, Arranged By: Alan Broadbent, Arranged By: Brandon Collins, Arranged By: David Campbell, Art Direction, Design: Ferry Gouw, Art Direction, Design: Gary Card, Co-producer, Written-By, Composed By, Vocals, Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Piano, Harpsichord, Synth, Drums, Percussion, Harmonica, Electric Piano [Wurlitzer], Synthesizer [Moog], Other [Bird Recording], Design Concept [Album artwork based upon 'Egypt Station' and 'Egypt Station II' paintings by]: Paul McCartney, Concept By [Egypt Station track logo and conceptual ideas]: Rebecca And Mike, Engineer: Alex Pasco, Engineer: Steve Orchard, Lacquer Cut By: Joe Nino-Hernes, Lacquer Cut By: Ryan Smith (2), Legal [Publishing And Copyright]: Ben Humphreys, Legal [Publishing And Copyright]: Mark Levy (6), Legal [Publishing And Copyright]: Patricia O'Hearn, Management [MPL Production Team]: Alex Parker (10), Management [MPL Production Team]: Aoife Corbett, Management [MPL Production Team]: Ben Chappell (5), Management [MPL Production Team]: Issy Bingham, Management [MPL Production Team]: Jess Whiteley, Management [MPL Production Team]: Richard Miller (5), Management [MPL Production Team]: Ross Martin (3), Management [MPL Production Team]: Sarah Brown (18), Management [MPL Production Team]: Steve Ithell, Management [Project Manager]: Scott Rodger, Management [Technical Manager]: Keith Smith (2), Mastered By: Randy Merrill, Mixed By: Mark Stent, Mixed By [Assisted By]: Derek Stockwell, Mixed By [Assisted By]: Michael Freeman, Musician [Additional Musician]: Abraham Laboriel Jr., Musician [Additional Musician]: Brian Ray, Musician [Additional Musician]: Greg Kurstin, Musician [Additional Musician]: Muscle Shoals Horns, Musician [Additional Musician]: Page LA Studio Voices, Musician [Additional Musician]: Paul Wickens, Musician [Additional Musician]: Rusty Anderson, Musician [Additional Musician]: Ryan Tedder, Musician [Additional Musician]: São Paulo Symphony Orchestra Choir, Musician [Additional Musician]: Zach Skelton, Photography By: MJ Kim, Photography By: Sam Rock (3), Producer: Greg Kurstin, Producer: Zach Skelton, Producer, Written-By [With Paul McCartney]: Ryan Tedder, Labelcode 6754503 (B002873701, B002873701), Phonographic Copyright (p) MPL Communications Inc., Phonographic Copyright (p) MPL Communications Ltd., Copyright (c) MPL Communications Inc., Copyright (c) MPL Communications Ltd., Licensed To UMG Recordings, Inc., Mastered At Sterling Sound, Manufactured By Precision Record Pressing, Pressed By GZ Media, Recorded At Henson Recording Studios, Recorded At Hog Hill Mill, Recorded At Abbey Road Studios, Recorded At Patriot Studios, Recorded At KLB Studios, Recorded At Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Recorded At"Egypt Station" (2LP) est un remarquable album studio de Paul McCartney sorti en 2018 et proposé ici dans une superbe édition double vinyle LP de haute qualité sonore signée Capitol Records.
