Description:This release of half-speed mastered editions of Japanā??s Tin Drum. It is being issued as remastered single LP on 180gram vinyl and as special 2LP set, also on 180gram vinyl, which play at 45rpm for enhanced fidelity. An Obi strip and Abbey Road certificate are also included. A Half Speed Mastered edition of Japan's 5th studio album from 1981. Mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road studios. Features the singles "The Art Of Parties" and "Ghosts". This record was cut using a specialist technique known as half-speed mastering. This artisan process results in cuts that have superior high frequency response (treble) and solid and stable stereo images. In short, a very high quality master that helps to create a very high quality record. In addition to this, this album will ne releases as a double 45 RPM half-speed mastered edition. This is the ultimate for high quality reproduction as the faster the replay speed of the record, the higher the potential quality. Also, the shorter side times allow the level recorded to the master lacquer discs to be increased thereby improving the signal to noise ratio. -
Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing Half-speed master. Japan's fifth and final album Tin Drum was released by Virgin Records in November 1981. Generally regarded as the group's best work, the album peaked at #12 in the UK and features the single, "The Art of Parties" and the Top 5 single, "Ghosts". Mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road, each record was cut using a half-speed mastering technique; a specialist artisan process, which results in cuts that have a superior high frequency (treble) response and solid and stable stereo images. In short this produces a very high quality master, which in turn helps to create a very high quality record.
