Poem Of The River is an album by Felt, released in 2022. The album is a rock CD.
During the `80s Felt made ten albums and ten singles for the Cherry Red and Creation labels. These records have been remastered and revisited by Lawrence. These new editions follow the elaborate CD and vinyl re-issue campaign and allows the most casual listener with limited shelf space to explore the world of Lawrence and Felt. Much like a Penguin paperback which updates its covers for each new generation of fans, these beautiful editions are as always designed by the Shanghai Packaging Company. Poem Of The River: Mayo Thompson recorded and produced six tracks - two of these were replaced - the remaining four songs were reluctantly remixed by Robin Guthrie at Cocteau Twins´ new studio. Flash forward to last year and the return of the Felt archive - among the masters the original Mayo Thompson mixes came to light. We have re-instated `She Lives By The Castle´- one of the poetic epics the album revolves around and here, now, at last is the most satisfying version of a quite damaged and bruised masterpiece. Remastered by Kevin Metcalfe and Lawrence. -
