Phase 1: Sharpening When sharpening, the new cutting edge is built up by means of diamond discs. The result is a ball-like structure of the knife edge. This ensures a long durability of the cutting edge. Phase 2: Pull-off stage / polishing stage The pull-off and polishing stage polishes the new cutting edge by means of diamond disc in the aftermath and thus ensures a strong, razor-sharp and long-lasting cutting edge. In this stage, self-toothed knives can be reworked.
