| Description: | Originally released in 1951-1953. T-Bone Walkerâ??s I Get So Weary, released in 1961, it is a terrific collection consisting of 14 tunes from the wildly influential blues legend, to whom electric blues and rock music owe their existence. It features Walkerâ??s 1951-1953 sides from his Imperial period, which represent the transition from his notable Black & White recordings to his LP debut in 1960l. Among the highlights is the song that gives name to the album: â??I Get So Wearyâ?, as well as the essentials â??I Miss You Baby,â? â??Party Girl,â? and â??Here in the Darkâ?, on which Walker is backed by such musicians as Dave Bartholomew and his band, Maxwell Davis, and Billy Hadnott. - 180GR./ 4 BONUS TRACKS/ PHOTOGRAPHS BY WILLIAM CLAXTONDeluxe 180gm vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. 1961 album from the blues great.Bonus tracks (From the same sessions, but not included on the original LP): A7, A8, B7, B8 |
