David Crosby, who turned 77 this month, has experienced a late career resurgence unlike almost any other in the history of Rock & Roll. Becca Stevens, Michael League and Michelle Willis backed Crosby on his tour in support of 2016â??s acclaimed 'Lighthouse' album, and BrooklynVegan said of the quartetâ??s NYC show at Town Hall: â??they also clearly help him sound great. Crosbyâ??s voice has aged wonderfully, but youâ??d have to assume the younger singersâ?? harmonies are part of what made everything sound so rich last night. David really enjoyed the colalboration on tour and recorded this new album with this Lighthouse touring band. Each of the band members brings his distinct songwriting in the mix. This will be David's fourth album within five years. He sure still has all his creativity, even more than before. He already stated he writes in bursts, the last couple of years was the longest writing surge he've had. "Most people at my age are either lazy or theyâ??re just pulling the handle trying to get another hit. They feel that maybe theyâ??ve said everything they want to say. They also just donâ??t work at it. Iâ??m not smarter or better than they are. Itâ??s just that the songs are coming to me.â? -
