Theme & Variations is an album by Pete Malinverni, released in 2023. The album is a jazz CD. -

The centerpiece of pianist Pete Malinverni's new album is a theme and a set of 13 variations - all improvised and resulting in a very personal musical statement without artifice. The musical program is also highlighted with Malinverni's readings of the spiritual "Standin' in the Need of Prayer," Ornette Coleman's "Blues Connotations," Sly Stone's "Everybody Is a Star," two very distinct versions of "It Was Just One of Those Things," "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and "These Foolish Things." the superb sound quality is a result of Jim Anderson's engineering and Allan Tucker's mastering.

Recorded on July 22 & 23, 2005 in New York City.
