Indeed, the album is amazing. And I would like to note that it was 1989 when the album was released. Death metal was just starting to form and therefore most of the albums at that time were made of shit and whistle, because there were no specific parameters for classifying the genre. And as a result, the Bolt Thrower album was quite heavy death metal, though with thrash riffs. The band's performance style is very interesting, because the main guitar is tuned quite low, and the other cuts through the air with some unimaginable short motifs. All this is reinforced by quite good drum parts. Thrash riffs, on the contrary, give the album some special fervor and aggression, and a certain slightly oppressive and gloomy death atmosphere reinforces the general atmosphere of "military actions". The vocals are very good, although I am not a big fan of such a not particularly emotional manner of performance, but I must admit that its brutality is at a very high level. This is not the vocals of an animal or a beast driven into a trap, but the most powerful voice of a man who sings about the horrors of war. The recording of the album is done quite well, and in principle the disc is rich in quite good arrangements. It is obvious that this work was done wisely and with taste, so the rating is high. I think the disc will definitely satisfy all fans of this extreme direction, so go ahead to the store to declare a small war on your neighbors.
