Vangelis is great master and artist of electronic music so don't believe the title - "Nocturne" is not quite the piano album.
You can listen to it as to improvised concert of Vangelis in his studio. Mainly you will hear electronic keyboards in piano mode and electronic strings in the background of melodies. Music is light and relaxing. Don't try to compare it with the breakthrough works by Vangelis such as "Blade Runner". It's more intimate album and in the same time less developed, less sophisticated. Just a good portion of light music to relax and to dream of something. Some music is new, some music is old.
If you are newcomer and never listened to music by Vangelis before - it's better to start with his epic albums as "Blade Runner", "1492 Conquest of Paradise", "Voices", "The Earth", "Direct" or with such collections of the best tracks as "Portraits", "The Collection", "Light & Shade".
