'Chewing On Shadows I' was first released as track 12 on the expanded CD release of Black Soft Stars in 2004; 'Chewing On Shadows II' was side 3 of the original 2LP release of Soft Black Stars in 1998; 'Chewing On Shadows III' was first heard on the expanded CD release of Soft Black Stars in 2004, when it was described as an "unreleased acoustic version". 'Chewing On Shadows I' ends with approximately five minutes of silence cut in to the vinyl. Durations taken from CD version. Includes insert.
