The Canadian Pop/Rock/ singer-songwriter became an international star in the 2000s with her Punk influenced Pop anthems and Punk image. As almost two decades progressed, so did Lavigne's sound change. A pair of hit albums later, she took a three year hiatus from the spotlight to focus on health issues related to Lyme disease, returning with her 6th album 'Head Above Water' in 2019.

HEAD ABOVE WATER was written while coming out of the darkness surrounding her 2014 Lyme Disease diagnosis.
