Description:As You Like It is an album by Patrizio Mazzola, released in 2018. The album is a classical CD. - SUDWESTDEUTSCHE PHILHARMONIE KONSTANZ
German-Italian pianist Patrizio Mazzola presents an exciting musical journey from Jan Beran's piano concerto (with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie under Kevin Griffiths) to the two Swiss composers Ruth Dürrenmatt and Jürg Lietha. In between are works by Mozart, Chopin, Chaminade and Tailleferre - and a rare miniature by the 19th century child prodigy Carl Flitsch. Patrizio Mazzola was born in Italy and grew up in Switzerland. He studied with Hubert Harry at the Lucerne Conservatory where he obtained a teaching diploma and graduated with distinction as a soloist. He was awarded the Edwin Fischer Memorial Prize and the Art Prize of the City of Lucerne. In the course of his career, he developed a wide repertoire including standard literature as well as women composers and Swiss music. In 2013 he founded the project "Femmusicale" to promote women composers and to foster the gender debate in music. Apart from teaching at the Universities of the Arts in Bern and Lucerne, he pursues an active career as a soloist and a chamber musician.
