Description:

A collection of recordings from a band beloved by all who remember them- although maybe there are not as many of those as there should be. Thought of at the time as Sheffield's answer to Joy Division, and regularly championed by the likes of Jarvis Cocker as the city's finest export, appraisal of their career has been denied until now largely due to the lack of CD recordings available. This compilation, which gathers highlights from their singles and both of their album releases, will hopefully alter that. The guitarist was later Mission man Simon Hinkler, but it's frontman Mark Gouldthorpe that really stands out, not least of all for his excellent lyrics. Includes exclusive remixes and never before offically released tracks, as well as full sleeve notes and track annotation. Cherrry Red. 2006.
