Descripción:On the 10th anniversary of their first ever single (The Last of the Melting Snow), The Leisure Society release a new single entitled God Has Taken a Vacation, along with news of their fifth album, Arrivals & Departures. Speaking of the release of the new single, their highly-lauded songwriter Nick Hemming said: "I started writing the song about my break up, but world events started finding their way in too. Division, borders, a loss of hope. There were a lot of shared themes!" During the promotion of the band's previous LP, The Fine Art of Hanging On, Nick and their flautist Helen Whitaker went through a long process of separation, ultimately resulting in Nick moving out of their Brighton home. This displacement set the tone for the next 18 months, as Nick moved from one temporary accommodation to the next, writing and recording demos constantly as he came to terms with the break up - which would eventually become the foundation of their upcoming fifth full length album, Arrivals & Departures., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Arranged By: The Leisure Society, Artwork, Layout: Owen Davey, Bass, Electric Upright Bass, Vocals, Handclaps: Jon Cox, Cello: Ben Trigg, Choir: Benadict Benjamin, Choir: Laura Tenschert, Choir: Robert Chaney (4), Choir: Sam York (4), Choir: Union Chapel Choir, Drums, Percussion, Vocals: Sebastian Hankins, Engineer: Christian Hardy, Engineer: Dougal Lott, Engineer: Les Mommsen, Engineer: Marcus Hamblett, Engineer: Nick Hemming, Engineer [Assistant]: Matt Jaggar, Flute, Alto Flute, Piccolo Flute: Helen Whitaker, Harp: Tamara Young, Management: Joe Haddow, Mixed By: Gareth Jones, Mixed By: Paul Gregory (9), Percussion: Dan Thompson (10), Producer: Christian Hardy, Producer: Nick Hemming, Synth [Shimmers]: Brian Eno, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone: Graeme Blevins, Trumpet, Flugelhorn: Nick Etwell, Upright Piano, Grand Piano, Vocals, Percussion, Organ [Hammond], Mellotron, Glockenspiel, Drum Machine, Pedalboard [Bass]: Christian Hardy, Viola: Emma Smith, Violin: Jennymay Logan, Violin, Viola: Mike Siddell, Vocals: Kristin McClement, Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Banjo, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Upright Piano, Grand Piano, Percussion: Nick Hemming, Vocals, Bass Clarinet: Emma Gatrill, Voice [Spoken Word]: Liz Berry (4), Written-By: Nick Hemming, Arranged By [Quartet]: Mike Siddell, Voice [Poem]: Liz Berry (4), Written-By: Liz Berry (4), Written-By: Nick Hemming, Labelcode EGOD1.2 (EDR001CD ), Recorded At Konk Studios, Recorded At Union Chapel, Recorded At Preston Park, Brighton, Recorded At The Barn, Derbyshire, Recorded At The Other Barn, Ashbourne, Recorded At Showside Farm, Upper Hulme, Recorded At The Briers, Dolbury Lees, Published By Chester Music Ltd., Phonographic Copyright (p) Ego Drain Records, Copyright (c) Ego Drain Records
