The fifth studio album by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on 3 September 1984. "Powerslave" was ranked at number 38 on Rolling Stone's list of "100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time" in 2017. I recommend.

Another amazing IRON MAIDEN album! There are some points that distinguish it from the previous ones. Here for the first time appeared a really long song “Rime Of The Ancient Mariner”, stuffed with all sorts of beautiful motifs and effects. I'm especially shocked by its second part after the two main verses with choruses… “2 Minutes To Midnight” may not be the most melodic song on the album, but it certainly captivates with its simplicity and lightness, so I'm not surprised that it is it is a super hit on this album. The interesting instrumental “Losfer Word (Big 'Orra)” is also remarkable for its numerous transitions and beautiful melodies. In general, in terms of composition this album is more complicated than the previous ones, but just enough so that everything looks harmonious and monolithic. There are no weak things, they just play perfectly. As always, a sea of ​​beautiful melodies and the highest performance technique. Super!
