The patented three-stage DC switching device used in this process (SCI principle) gives these devices special safety that meets the requirements of modern photovoltaic systems. The DEHNcube YPV SCI 1000... is the first IP 65 surge arrester tested according to EN 50539-11 by DEHN+ SÖHNE. Compared to usual arresters for DIN rail mounting, this eliminates the need to search for space in a distribution housing suitable for the application or the installation of a distribution housing only for surge protection.
