| | Description: | Cows On Hourglass Pond follows the 2017 release of Avey Tareâ??s Eucalyptus, and 2018â??s audiovisual album Tangerine Reef, a collaboration between Animal Collective and avant-garde coral macro-videographers Coral Morphologic. - Vinyl LP pressing. When Protomartyr - vocalist Joe Casey, guitarist Greg Ahee, bassist Scott Davidson, drummer Alex Leonard - stepped into a studio together for the first time, in November 2011, they didn't know they were about to record an album. With only four hours of studio time booked and one case of beer between them, their plan was to walk out with enough songs for a seven-inch single. Instead, at the suggestion of engineer Chris Koltay, the newly formed Detroit outfit recorded as much as they possibly could, in what little time they had. They left with 21 songs - enough material for two singles and a full-length album that, years later, is still vital listening.Different cropping of the cloud image on the back cover, compared to [r=18447409]. On the back of the sleeve, bottom left-hand corner, where the ? and © text / Domino logo / contact address is, the end of the address (London SW18 1WD) is printed on a different part of the image.
On this release both London and the postcode are on a darker area of the image, whereas on [r=18447409] only the postcode is on the darker area of the image.
Black vinyl.
Comes with a twenty-page 'zine and a download card of the album and four bonus tracks from the original recording session as MP3 and WAV files. Catalogue number given on the sticker.
