Belgian band Enthroned is a name black metal fans are no strangers to. Over the course of the last 25 years, they have pushed the boundaries of black metal and the depth of the Left Hand Path philosophy further within. The quintet has channelled that dedication into their newest record: â??Cold Black Sunsâ?? is a dark and crushing black metal album where cold riffing, blood chilling atmospheres, and ritualistic drumming are keys to forging their most mature and accomplished opus to date. -

Vinyl LP pressing. For more than 25 years, the Belgian black horde of Enthroned (featuring members of Nightbringer and Emptiness) have waged war on the forces of light. Cold Black Suns, their first album in five years, spews forth regal black metal majesty forged in the fire of the genre's early wars. Enthroned's ceremonial sacrilege burns unabated and Cold Black Suns is a triumph of unyielding evil. The band comments: "We're proud to introduce our first single 'Silent Redemption' from the upcoming album 'Cold Black Suns'. This track unveils one of the many layers of the long awaited 11th opus. With 'Silent Redemption', we take you along to Aokigahara, the infamous Suicide Forest in Japan, to walk amongst the Yurei. Vladislav M. - 19/Nov/2019 The album turned out to be very skillful and level, there are pleasant moments that I want to hear. The atmosphere here is in perfect order, the aura is extremely destructive for Enthroned's work. In general, this vocal-instrumental black metal band experienced different chapters in its history. There were “classics”, there were also “melodists”, the current ten years passed under some sort of near-shamanic dissonant research. Not all of them were equally expressive and successful. But evolutionary processes sometimes overtake Black Metal bands. A suitable break of 5 years and the next change in composition made it possible to concentrate forces and give the world developed, seasoned material. Enthroned pleased with an unexpectedly cool release.
